May 12, 2009 is the 1st anniversary of Wenchuan Earthquake of Sichuan. On this special day, all the Christians in a nearby city fasted from 6:00AM to 6:00PM and prayed at the same time on 14:30PM to mourn the victims and appreciate our faith given by God.
God has been writing a fascinating script for the history of the Singapore Central Christian Church over the last 20 years. This church suffered intense persecution and slander and saw their planters John and Karen Louis have to leave the country. By faith they appealed the slander and the high court ordered the national newspaper to apologize. Since then John and Karen have been given permanent resident status and hired by the government to teach marriage and family classes. And the government granted the 1,000 member church a rare lease to build a building.
In the capital of the largest Muslim nation of the world, 700 people are studying the Bible with the 1400 disciples of the Jakarta International Church of Christ. By faith, the Indonesian churches are planting 5 new churches this year and are praying to plant 50 in the next 10 years. Here is a report from their recent conference in Medan.

God blessed the International Churches of Christ in China with 130 new Christians in 2008, 99 of which are campus students. See this video interview with a disciple in mainland China sharing the good news.
Last year, disciples from six different U.S. churches met for the first time in China. Here is our first report from them:
We came hoping to share—together with our Chinese brothers and sisters—in the tremendous task of bringing the gospel of Jesus to over one billion people who now live in this great country.
1n 2008 Kevin and May Lo and their children were chosen as one of the "10 Most Harmonious Families of Hong Kong" by the Hong Kong government largely due to how their faith helped them through the crisis of May's breast cancer. Then Kevin lost his excellent, professional job. Their story was just told in numerous Chinese newspapers.
