OYC: Ministry Training Session

Worried about your effectiveness on the mission field? Don't worry! Get trained!

In Philippians 2:25-30, Paul describes his brother Epaphroditus as a fellow worker and soldier of the Gospel. Doing the work of the ministry--being a fellow-soldier or a fellow-worker--requires training.

oyc trainingThis week four disciples on a One Year Challenge joined a ministry training session in a neighboring city. The training lasted three days, covering topics such as having a vision for your ministry, how to use the Bible effectively and how to work with other brothers and sisters in unity. It was an inspiring and encouraging time!

OYC: Salt and Light

OYC HowardHoward (in the white t-shirt) was reached out to by a One Year Challenge volunteer earlier this year. After studying the Bible for several months, he decided to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Just weeks after his baptism last month, he volunteered to spend a Saturday serving at a facility that cares for the elderly. As a university student he learned the gospel; now he's living it! This is the ultimate goal of the OYC: to expand the kingdom of God in this fallen world.

Connor (left) was baptized the next weekend. All of them are OYC Three Brothersstudents at the same university.
