God is opening many new horizons for Jon Sherwood and Brittany Wright. Last fall they were named the Campus Ministry Leaders for the Capital City Church of Christ in Tallahassee, Florida and on February 5th they will celebrate their wedding!

In the past three years, campus ministries associated with the International Churches of Christ have doubled in number. Many thriving campus ministries did not even exist just a few years ago, and attendance at the yearly International Campus Ministry Conferences has also steadily increased during that time.
What happened? I don't fully know. I had a revival handed to me when I entered campus ministry; I didn't start it, and I certainly didn't do a lot to help it during my first two years as a college student!
God has blessed the International Churches of Christ with an incredible unity and vision for the next decade. A crucial element to our maintaining this spirit of unity in the bond of peace is our communication. During the year each Service Team among our churches publishes an update on the various ministries in our churches. Note this inspiriing report from our Campus Service Team that was delivered to our annual Delegates Meeting. Click here to see other Service Team reports. Then click on Service Teams.
The revival in our campus ministries is spreading. In the US our campus disciples in the International Churches of Christ have doubled to 3,000. Students are committing to follow Jesus around the world.
This excellent video by our partners, ICOC Hot News gives an inspiring snapshot of God's obvious work among us. Share it with your friends on Facebook by using our new toolbar at the bottom of this page. Encourage your leaders to show it in your worship services.
A bonus comes with the video in the form of a trailer for the 2012 World Discipleship Summit that will feature 7 conferences under one roof in San Antonio, Texas July 5 - 8, 2012.
Life on a mission team is filled with ups and downs. Two years ago my wife and I came, with seven other Christians from the U.S., to start a campus ministry in a country where our churches exist “underground” because of government repression. Those first few months were especially filled with excitement, nervousness, fear, adventure and delight.
God has allowed me to experience some things that I came so close to missing out on 16 years ago when I struggled spiritually as a baby Christian. I had a horrible summer and had jumped head first back into my sin and almost didn't make it back. But God used people like Derrick Bloom, James Washington and Stacey Schmitt, (now Stacey Robinson), who didn't give up on me even when others had said "He's gone, don't waste anymore time...move on." They fought for me. And today, I stand amazed and what I have experienced!
The second ever International Campus Ministry Conference (ICMC) came to an exciting end on Sunday 5th September 2010 as 199 students gathered at the Zest International Hotel in Lagos for the grand finale of the 3-day event.
The 2010 ICMC commenced on Friday 3rd at the Church’s premises in Surulere, Lagos with registrations, recognition of the participating schools and introduction of baptisms in the Campus Ministry since the 2009 ICMC. Following shortly was a drama skit, ‘Follow Me’, a pantomime.
