The Johannesburg Church of Christ is excited to announce the 2018 Encounter Program. We are inviting college students from our worldwide fellowship to come to Johannesburg from July 9 -  August 6, 2018 to encounter our beautiful culture, people, South African wildlife, and more importantly, to be equipped and empowered to help the tens of thousands of university students throughout South Africa to encounter the true Jesus Christ. encounter 2018

Over the last three years, Encounter South Africa has seen over 45 students taking part from around the world. We have seen the tremendous impact these students have made. We have had thousands of students being reached out to, hundreds of students coming to bible discussions and around 15 people baptized as a direct result. We are so excited for YOU to join in the adventure!

The four-week program will begin with serving on HOPE worldwide projects followed by ministry training from the staff of the Johannesburg Church along with international guest speakers. Teams would then be sent out to our beautiful campuses, including the University of Pretoria, the University of Johannesburg, the University of the Witwatersrand, and possibly going to the Cape Town and Durban.

They will spend their days evangelizing, leading Bible talks, and studying the Bible with students on campus. The church in Johannesburg will provide housing, two meals per day and transportation once the participants arrive in South Africa. We are asking those who come to provide their flight to and from Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport, as well as spending money for their daily lunches on campus, for a safari, and other personal expenses.

We are accepting a limited number of participants. If you are interested in attending, please email Jacques Genis at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. no later than April 15, 2018.
