This wonderful journey began as 51 single disciples from 22 different congregations in three countries boarded our floating hotel for seven days (Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas) in Galveston, Texas to sail to the Caribbean islands of Cozumel, Mexico, George Town, Grand Cayman and Falmouth, Jamaica. Most of the group did not know each other before the cruise but quickly became family as we enjoyed devotionals, meals and island adventures together.
Exciting news for the 2017 Caribbean Singles cruise! Norris and Samantha Douglas, our brother and sister from Jamaica, own a tour company and have put together several great tours for our group in Jamaica including a service tour to an infirmary to help/entertain the residents. A beach devotional and barbecue lunch with disciples from the Montego Bay church will also be included in this tour.
Needed: a brother to fill a cabin with another brother in an interior cabin as well as in a balcony cabin. If you are planning on going on this amazing Caribbean cruise, you won't want to delay. Prices will be going up soon!
So you think that cruises are just for sleeping and watching the ocean go by. Not on this one! In addition to the devotionals, Bible lessons and fellowship on the Singles Cruise, you will find the following on Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas (160,000 tons):
I FOUND UNEXPECTED LOVE ON A CRUISE!
Going on a cruise has been one of the best decisions I have made. I didn’t feel like that at first. I want to share my story with you; so you can understand how amazing God is. I have been a single Christian for over 12 years now and over that time I have attended many conferences and singles retreats and events. I have changed and grown in faith but there is one area that my faith had actually decreased and that is in finding that special person and getting married!
The first ever Singles Caribbean Cruise sponsored by Disciples Today received a warm invitation from the disciples of the International Churches of Christ in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Many disciples have asked for opportunities to spend their vacations with other disciples. Read the invitation from St. Thomas below.
By the way, the singles have asked to be sure the marrieds know they are welcome to joint them.
100 disciples from many churches and 5 countries are registered for our first ever Singles Caribbean cruise! The church in St. Thomas has an entire day planned with us.
