Valentine's Day, The Daddy Daughter Dance Way Featured

DDD1The Milwaukee Church Of Christ, led by Mark and Ruth Kang, continue a tradition started five years ago. Each year when the temperatures are freezing, and the snow is swirling up the streets, church members' hearts are once again glowing with love, as the annual Fathers and Daughters Dance is held for all to enjoy.

Many frilly dresses that would remain in the closet until spring, are taken out and ever so lovingly worn by the most beautiful young girls in the church to go dancing with their daddies. They twirl, and skip, sway and hop to the music for all to see.

Just peek in the door at the Milwaukee War Memorial on that day, and you may catch fancy photo shoots with lace heart backdrops, and humorous props and festive decorations.

DDD3Of course the dads are often dressed in their very best to escort the lovely ladies. Can you think of a better way for the daughters of God to be fed, and filled with the Holy Spirit, and Domino's pizza? There were crafts for the girls to make for the dads, and poems to write to the girls from their dates. Each daughter was dressed like a princess, and each father felt like a king. Silly skits and a variety of music allowed dances for every age.

Nothing but warm smiles and joy as far as the eye could see. Thank you to all the wonderful servants of Christ who make this magical day possible.

Love from one very grateful dad, and daughter.
