On March 27 in Boston, 24 men played basketball for 24 straight hours to raise money for the Sihanouk Hospital Center of HOPE. Doug Arthur, one of the event's participants, sums up the event and thanks the many supporters.

Hopefully, you’ve received a communication about “Remember the Poor” Day on Sunday April 26, 2009. As news about this day spreads, more and more Christians around the world are being inspired to set aside April 26 as a day to “Remember the Poor.”
We need hope in any and every situation in our lives, especially when we carry the crushing load of poverty and its attendant problems. This is why God placed on the hearts of the Evangelists and Ministry Leaders of the New York City Church of Christ to propose a day of remembering the poor throughout the ICOC worldwide.
