huntsville alabama ICOCGod has chosen an amazing couple to lead the Huntsville, Alabama church planting. J.D. and Claudette Lusan decided to return to full-time ministry and will be moving to Huntsville in May 2017 to begin planning and forming the mission team. During their 20+ years as disciples, the Lusans have demonstrated strong, faithful and dynamic leadership – in the full-time ministry and as lay leaders – in Kingston, Jamaica, Orlando, and South Florida. The Lusans will be joined by the 15 faithful disciples who currently live in Huntsville.

If you have been dreaming of joining a mission team or a church planting, we encourage you to step out in faith and move to Huntsville. The church is looking for marrieds, singles, empty nesters, and college students to move permanently or to take the One Year Challenge to help plant the church in 2017.

The Huntsville metropolitan area has a population of 683,000 and continues to be the fastest-growing of the four large metro areas of Alabama. This steady growth is attributed to the increasing presence of major government agencies (NASA, U.S. Army Aviation and Space, Missile Defense Agency) and several Fortune 500 companies specializing in technology, space, aviation, biomedical, military technology and homeland defense.

The city of Huntsville hosts several colleges and university campuses: Alabama A&M University, University of Alabama in Huntsville, Calhoun Community College and Oakwood University.
