On January 26, news broke that Alaskan disciple Reese Hanneman has earned one of the highly-coveted spots on the US Olympic Cross Country Ski Team and will be headed to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.

It was so inspiring as leaders from all over New England met together to encourage, be encouraged and to share all that God is doing. Doug Arthur opened it up with a time of sharing of good news from around New England. He shared about a new brother that was just baptized in the Metro region of the Boston Church.
The Staten Island ministry serves food to the needy every Sunday night with Project Hospitality. On September 9, 2012, the church performed songs for those dining. It was a memorable night that encouraged both those singing and those enjoying the sounds. On September 22, 2012, the Staten Island Advance printed a great article about the service of the church and Project Hospitality.
It has been 6 months since Evan Sanford, my coworker, walked into my office. When he saw the Certificate of Biblical Studies, he confessed to me that he went to a 4 year Bible school before studying engineering. He never told anyone about his Bible school experiences and was scared of sharing his faith. Evan was challenged by the example of the believers' lives and the stories of our missionary journeys.
This past Friday, I drove 300 miles, got a sun burn and threw up several times. It was one of the best days of my life. I have been privileged by God in many ways. The list is too long to recount. One way is definitely in the many amazing friendships which have encouraged, challenged and changed me. For the past 25+ years, two men have long stood on my closest friends’ list. They represent the past, present and future. They are spiritual generations in the flesh. You have them too. Don’t ever forget them.
