For Team Conor: Road to Recovery, a lot has happened since our last updates in August. Conor McCormick, a young man in the Pioneer Valley Church of Christ teen ministry, suffered a severe, paralyzing neck injury while enjoying a fun day in a swimming pool with friends this summer.
The Benefit Concert was well-planned and supported by HOPE worldwide and local businesses. It created some great memories for those who attended on the hot, humid sunny day! See video and lyrics at the end of this article.
Conor was in Atlanta for rehab with the world renowned spinal injury experts at the Shepherd Center. He received wonderful care there and made it through several of the expected ups and downs. His return home to the Pioneer Valley area was broadcast on Western Mass News.
Conor was well enough to travel to New York and be with his teen friends from church at the all New England Teen-Led Conference over the weekend of October 22-23, 2016. He and all his dear friends were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. Please continue to check for updates at the Team Conor Facebook Page.
The McCormick family appreciates all the outpouring of prayers, funds and kind encouraging words. And they still need our help. Here are a few ways you can help!
