Central Jersey Church of Christ elders

The Central Jersey Church of Christ has reached a new and exciting milestone since being planted by the NYC Church of Christ in 2004. With 500 in attendance for our Easter service, one of the church’s first evangelists, Robert Carrillo, appointed Johnny Rivera and Tommy Beene as elders via a special video message. Johnny and Tommy are the first elders to serve in the church’s history.

Johnny, a former atheist, has been serving as the evangelist for the Central Jersey Church of Christ for the last 13 years. He became a Christian 20 years ago in the Queens Region of the NYC Church of Christ before moving with his family to Central Jersey in 2001. His wife of 22 years, Glorimar, has helped to lead the church alongside him, and their two children are members of the church’s campus ministry.

Tommy has been a Christian since 1975. With his wife, Connie, Tommy has been devoted to serving the church in various leadership roles — including playing an integral part in the beginning of what is now the Greater Nashville Church. The Beenes moved to New Jersey in 1996. They are known for their love and adoration of their four adult children and 10 grandchildren.

Johnny and Tommy’s steadfast faith and love have inspired the church to walk closely with her savior, Jesus Christ. As a whole, the brothers and sisters in Central Jersey rejoice in celebrating all that God has done, is doing, and is yet to do in Central Jersey and all around the world. To God be the glory!
