Phoenix Church to Host 30th Anniversary

The Phoenix Church of Christ invites all former members and current friends to a worship and fellowship on November 24. We will be celebrating our 30 years of worshipping and serving God together and pursuing the great commission in metropolitan Phoenix.  We will meet at Celebrity Theatre at 440 N. 32nd Street in Phoenix where we met from 1988-89.  Mike Rock will return to Phoenix for the day to preach for that service.

Meeting Needs in Unexpected Ways

What do you say when someone sneezes? If you’re like many people, you’ll respond with a cheerful “bless you.”
At the Antelope Valley Church in Southern California (, they’re always looking out for ways to serve their community. They’ve hosted flu shot clinics, backpack giveaways, and wholesome celebrations for Halloween. But this year they were presented with an opportunity that they never could have planned or expected.
Through their participation in Read Across America (, longtime members Dave and Jackie Owens met and befriended Margo Deal, principal of the nearby Eastside Elementary School. Ever eager to serve, Dave and Jackie asked if her school had a particular need that they could fill.

After several weeks of praying, reaching out, and trusting God, the Tucson Mission Team (Arizona, USA) finally celebrated their inauguration service today. The team’s twenty-five disciples had been asking God to bring enough visitors to fill two hundred and fifty seats at this event. Amazingly, the church had the great joy of seeing four hundred and seventy people attend church this morning.
