On September 26-28, 2014 the International Singles Conference entitled “Elevate” in Colorado felt like a little piece of heaven!

Nearly 2,500 singles representing twenty countries ascended into the mountains of Denver. The spirit was so evident in the love and joy of the fellowship and in disciples giving generously to HOPE worldwide service projects. The worship at the evening ceremonies was transcendent! Fellowship happily continued into the night with so many fun activities including dances, mixers, night hikes, and brothers and sisters encouraging one another until the early morning hours.

The Denver Church of Christ and the ISC Host Committee (pictured above) did an amazing job organizing all the details and provided wonderful hospitality to participants as they streamed in from all over.

On Friday night, Wade Cook, conference director and chairman of the International Singles Service Team, asked attendees to donate to HOPE worldwide and gave a goal of $15,000. By the end of the weekend, more than $33,000 was raised to meet the needs of the poor to the glory of God!

Larry Reed, the evangelist of the singles ministry in Boston, gave an inspiring message on “Embracing the Challenge.”

Saturday's general class session continued to build on taking the brothers and sisters to the next level. These classes featured a variety of enlightening classes taught primarily by singles. In the evening, an exciting new format of EleveTED Talks featured singles from different walks of life sharing their passion for God in enlightening and creative ways were powerful.

To close out the conference Wade Cook issued the "What's Your 52? Challenge,” in which singles across the world were called to challenge each other (in the spirit of the ALS ice bucket challenge) to go after a dream in 52 days.

Indeed God moved powerfully by his Spirit to bring joy and inspire growth in the singles ministries across the world. It was an amazing time together in Denver!
