Happy New Year to our brothers and sisters around the world from the St George's International Church of Christ!
As we begin 2015, we are excited to share how God has helped us prepare to launch out into our local community in an amazing way, through the sacrificial, love and hard work of disciples from different churches -- all connected through Disciples Today!
The year 2014 has truly been an amazing journey for the disciples in the St. George’s International Church of Christ! Our Father in heaven has blessed us in so many ways, even as we continue to spread the gospel of his Son to the men and women of Grenada. As we wind down towards the end of the year – we are so happy to share with you all, how much he has lavished on us, “according to his riches in glory”! As you read, make sure to follow the highlighted links to more photos on Facebook.
A major milestone was accomplished this summer among our churches in the Caribbean, as our fellowship witnessed the much-anticipated launch of the Damian Jean-Baptiste Caribbean School of Ministry! The historic event, split over two weekends in Jamaica and Trinidad, hosted over 200 students in the inaugural module of the newly launched academy. Students representing several of our churches in the Caribbean joined participants in the Kingston or Port of Spain churches, or participated live online.
Shane Gibson, popularly known as "Rizon," who is a disciple in the Port of Spain Church of Christ in Trinidad, was recently invited to attend the Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards, held every summer in the Bahamas. The vision of the Marlin Awards is to inspire and encourage excellence and growth in Caribbean Gospel Music. Each year, there are countless submissions from all over the world - not just the Caribbean - and awards are distributed in over Fifty (50) categories including New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
'When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am” -- Exodus 3:4
It has been an exciting first quarter for the St. George’s International Church of Christ in Grenada! Having re-launched our ministry in August last year, to God’s glory we grew in 2013 from 10 to 12 disciples as we focused on unity and teamwork.
