"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstance; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." -- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Finding joy in all circumstances is our way to experience God's blessings. We can have faith through the storms when we are able to focus on God's blessings and not on the negative aspects of life. Sometimes, in the major storms of life we are forced to trust in God's blessing, yet through the daily, minor trials, we find it easy to doubt God --resulting in negative thoughts and feelings. In my first gratitude article, I talked about how God desires to help turn our trials into times of thanksgiving. This second article is about God's will for our lives as it pertains to gratitude.
I have been thinking so much about how to live a life of contentment. In general anymore, I don't envy people who do the things I used to do – exercise, work a full-time job, travel, and all the other things I used to love. I realize I am on the journey I'm on for a purpose. Yet day-to-day contentment and peace can be such a challenge at times.
