About 8 years ago, Rorogo Lawolo was invited to GKDI Bandung. At the time, 2 of his younger siblings have become church members. But then, Rorogo still hardened his heart and ignored the many invitations to study the bible. He was a workaholic and filled his life with work, abandoning his relationships with his wife and children. Shared from GKDI.org >>>

Standing in the shadows of Angkor Wat, I am reminded of what once was a great empire in this side of the world. Reaching its peak in the 12th century, the temples are a sight to behold, holding secrets to Cambodia’s glorious past, enticing in its beauty with history carved in stone to be viewed by someone like me.
This is a story of God’s love and faithfulness.
I remember so clearly the day, 15 years ago, when my wife, Hong, and I were baptized! We were the first married couple in the underground Vietnam church, and we had a three-month-old boy. In those days it was hard for people to become followers of Jesus. The pressure of persecution was so intense that many left the church. The congregation was a few years old and there were 23 members.
